T is for Tiger Tail Seahorse

An illustration of an attractive yellow and black patterned seahorse found in South East Asia, it is nocturnal and reaches a height of 18.7cm. Unfortunately they are threatened by their desirability for use in traditional Chinese medicine and aquarium trade. They are in fact, one of the most highly extracted seahorse species.
